Little acts of kindness…
Every week Bear lets me watch my new fav show “new girl”. I giggle and he just lets me. He watches and sometimes laughs but I think he mostly does it because he knows how much I love it. I am always blown away by the little things he does for me and for others. The other weekend we were at Costco and he saw an older lady needing help, without saying a word he walked right over to her and helped this elderly woman put a case of water in her cart. My heart sang! (I still can’t get over how lucky I am to have such a wonderful person to be with) He calls his grandmother often just to chit chat, he helps anyone who may ask or not. I love that he is such a kind person. Too often we get so caught up in what we want or that we are not getting help we over look others who may truly be in need of just a bit attention. While letting your girlfriend watch a TV show she likes, or helping someone in bulk item store be written in the history books, they are written in my heart. That reminds me, I need to call my grandmother today after work!! Maybe he will rub off on me just a little.

Over the next few weeks this is what you will find me doing, drinking way to much coffee, reading from my kindle and cuddleing up in my pj's. The weather is getting nice here and we even slept with the windows open. I love, love, love the cool crisp air and all the fall flavors.

Running......
Here I go again with the running. I must have some kind of sickness! Here I am at my last race....my worst time ever. I had to cut myself some slack....I had just been in my car accident but 3 days before. I have a half that I want to try and run on Nov 20th in St. Pete. Wish me luck, ladies!!!
This weekend I will be going to this Food Truck Rally!!! Then maybe get a little sun on my skin by the pool, and I am sure we will toss in some football or baseball if you know who has a say in it all. Sunday I hope to get up early and get a 4 mile run in and then make huevos rancheros for Bear and I. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the nice warm weather....we will miss it when its gone!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend. Mine was filled with family, food and Bear. Now that Labor day as come and gone and it’s time to look forward to the Fall, my birthday and the holidays….the ones with LOTS of candy and food! Oh and shopping for fall/winter clothes. Here are a few pics of my past weekend and a few from my “pic a day goal”.
My lovley little sister and I want to a wine shop to gossip and to spend some time together! It was such a treat to be with her.
I also was able to spend time with my Little Matty, who filled me in on Star Wars, Super Man and Bat Man. Somehow he was able to combine all three plots and story lines into one. This child it going places!! I am one proud aunt....no sweeter words then being called Aunt Jana! Music to my ears. Monday I was able to spend with Bear and we had such a wonderful time. I am one lucky girl to get to spend time with him. He takes me to brunch (aka My all time fav Meal) and then lets me watch Mad Men for hrs. Yay for a long weekends!

Just a Reminder...
Every Woman Should
by Maya Angelou
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE…
enough money within her control to move out
and rent a place of her own,
even if she never wants to or needs to…
something perfect to wear if the employer,
or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE…
a youth she’s content to leave behind…
a past juicy enough that she’s looking forward to retelling it in her old age…
a set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill, and a black lace bra…
one friend who always makes her laugh… and one who lets her cry…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE…
a good piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in her family…
eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems,
and a recipe for a meal,
that will make her guests feel honored…
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ..
a feeling of control over her destiny…
how to fall in love without losing herself…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
how to quit a job,
break up with a lover,
and confront a friend without;
ruining the friendship…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
when to try harder… and WHEN TO WALK AWAY…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
that she can’t change the length of her calves,
the width of her hips, or the nature of her parents..
that her childhood may not have been perfect….but it’s over…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
what she would and wouldn’t do for love or more….
how to live alone…. even if she doesn’t like it…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
whom she can trust,
whom she can’t,
and why she shouldn’t take it personally…
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
where to go…
be it to her best friend’s kitchen table..
or a charming Inn in the woods…
when her soul needs soothing….
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW…
What she can and can’t accomplish in a day…
a month…and a year…
